The teachers who make Bebras possible

Bringing the challenge to school

Bebras reaches a school because a teacher chooses to run it. RISE provides training, keeps the recordings public, and gives participating teachers a certificate and task books they can continue using in class.

Helping shape the challenge

Each year, Bebras countries submit new task proposals for international review and selection. Armenian teachers contribute proposals too.

  • A long table laid with stacks of task books, certificates in sleeves, and the Bebras beaver mascot.

  • Stacks of Bebras task books on a table, the orange 2024 edition behind and the dark 2025 edition in front.
The 2024 and 2025 task books. Each teacher who runs the challenge is given a set to keep.
  • Two teachers holding orange Bebras beaver soft toys, standing either side of Gohar Khachatryan in a RISE Foundation shirt.
Loreta Dumikyan of Yerevan High School No. 198 and Mari Soghoyan of Sarukhan Secondary School No. 1, whose tasks were voted the year’s best, with Gohar Khachatryan. By tradition each is given the Bebras beaver.

Five groups. One shared effort.

Teachers from participating schools came forward in five groups to receive their certificates. Each photograph captures one group. Together, they recognise the people who brought Bebras into schools across Armenia.

The recordings

Three sessions so far, recorded and left public so a teacher who missed one can watch it whenever they need it. Each takes a tool that already exists and shows what it does for the everyday work of teaching.
